Eastern Puma Tile
Posted in News, Projects on November 12th, 2006 by Lisa TeviaClarkWe recently completed a special tile project you may be interested in. Laguna Clay Company has had an Endangered Species Awareness Series for the past 14 years. This year we felt honored to be asked to design and produce this year’s limited edition of 500 tiles. We chose the Eastern Puma, now the most endangered mammal in the United States. In researching the Eastern Puma we found the website for the Wildlife Rehabilitation Sanctuary in Ellijay, GA. If you’re interested in learning more about the Eastern Puma you may want to see their website: www.wildliferehabsanctuary.org They have an informative article, click just below the photo of the puma cub on the right side of their homepage.

This is a photo of our Eastern Puma tiles as we unloaded the first group from the kiln. Each tile is 6 x 6 inches.
